Kid's Identity Suddenly Sixteen
Operation: K.I.S.S. is the second story in the sixth episode of Season 2 of Codename: Kids Next Door. It first aired on November 7, 2003 on Cartoon Network.

Hoagie's experiment goes wrong and he is transformed into a teenager who calls himself Hank. He meets Abigail's older sister, Cree, and they become attracted to each other.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Numbuh 2 in his laboratory during a torrential downpour. He is working on a way to give the treehouse hamsters a strength boost. He then places Joaquin the hamster on a big bullseye surrounded by 2x4 ray guns. Numbuh 2, with chili-dog in hand (and mouth), pulls a giant lever and powers up the rays, but a frightened Joaquin runs off. Numbuh 2 runs after him, but is caught in the rays’ effects.
In the other room, the other members of Sector V are watching a Yipper cartoon on television. A weary Numbuh 2 walks in, looking several years older, unintentionally triggering the treehouse Teen Alert warning. He is overpowered by his fellow operatives, who have no idea that it’s actually Numbuh 2, and is subsequently thrown out of the treehouse and falls to the ground below in the storm.
As the storm rages, Numbuh 2 writhes in pain while Cree Lincoln rides her bike, runs over his stomach by accident and falls over. When Cree confronts teenage Numbuh 2, the two of them lock eyes and seemingly fall in love at first sight as the storm dies down and the sun comes out. Numbuh 2 gets up and nervously introduces himself as Hank as opposed to Hoagie. Numbuh 2 knew that if he told Cree his actual name Hoagie instead of Hank, Cree would find out about Numbuh 2. When Cree questions what he was doing out in the storm, he tells her he was on his way to get a burger, and asks if she would like to join him on a date, to which Cree agrees.
Shortly thereafter, the two of them pull up on Cree’s bike to the Romantic Burger. Cree is talking about how much of a pain her sister Abigail (Numbuh 5) is, to which Hank joins in on making fun of her and other kids. Just then, the effects of the rays begin to seemingly reverse, slowly turning Hank back into 10-year-old Hoagie/Numbuh 2. He then excuses himself to “go to the bathroom” and runs off. Immediately, the raging storm returns.
Numbuh 2 retreats to the treehouse. His fellow operatives are still watching television. Numbuh 4 begins bragging to him about how they kicked some teenager’s butt and he missed the action. Numbuh 2 ignores him and runs into his laboratory. He blames Joaquin for what happened, although he exclaims that it was a good thing he was inadvertently turned into a teenager. Numbuh 2 gets back on the bullseye and tells Joaquin to hit the switch. At first, the rays fail to turn him into Hank again. Then Numbuh 2 remembers he had been consuming a chili-dog during the transformation. He takes a big bite out of one and Joaquin hits the switch again. This time it works and Numbuh 2 is Hank again. Like last time, he sets off the Teen Alert and is tossed out of the treehouse in the storm by Numbuh 1, 3, 4, and 5.
Back at Romantic Burger, a melancholy Cree waits for Hank to get back. Moments later, Hank shows up for their burger date. Just as the two teens are about to kiss, Hank instantly turns back into Hoagie/Numbuh 2. He distracts Cree by telling her there’s a rockstar in the opposite direction. He runs off back to the treehouse to transform back into Hank and is once more thrown out by the rest of Sector V. Hank returns to Romantic Burger where the two lovers pick up from where they left off. Meanwhile at the treehouse, Joaquin decides to try and use the Age Ray on himself. He eats a chili-dog and gets onto the bullseye. Although the rays seem to work at first, they quickly malfunction and the power goes out in the whole treehouse.
As Cree and Hank are about to kiss again, she gets a call on her cellphone. Father is on the other line, telling her that Sector V’s defense grid is down. Cree, seeking an opportunity to attack Sector V while they’re vulnerable, cuts the date short. Before leaving, she gives Hank a kiss, but then invites him to join her on her mission, to which he agrees. Cree then uses her Battle Ready Armor (B.R.A.) to don her Teen Ninja suit and transform her bike into a rocket and flies up into outer space. She weaponizes her ship and dives back down to earth on a direct collision course for the Sector V treehouse.
Inside, Joaquin is being interrogated by Numbuh 1, Numbuh 3, and Numbuh 4 about the whereabouts of Numbuh 2. Cree then crashes into the treehouse shooting lasers. She parks her ship and gets out to fight Sector V. Numbuh 3 shoots Cree with a G.U.M.Z.O.O.K.A., but Cree deflects every shot. Kuki then accidentally blew a gum bubble and got stuck. Numbuh 1 warns her to surrender, but she shoots his Y.O.-Y.O.P.E.R., and Numbuh 1 gave Cree 3 or 20 seconds, out of his hand and traps him in a net. Cree then shoots a laser at Numbuh 4, who uses a trashcan lid to shield himself from the blast while wondering where Numbuh 2 is. Just as Hank is about to jump in and help, Cree distracts him with another kiss, then takes out Numbuh 4.
Numbuh 5 disarms Cree with a B.O.T.T.L.E.C.A.P. The two begin to fight, but the older sister counters every one of her younger sister’s moves. Cree threw Numbuh 5 into the wall. Just as Cree is about to defeat Numbuh 5, she’s intertwined by the Y.O.-Y.O.P.E.R., which is used by Hank. A confused Cree wonders what’s going on, to which Hank turns back into Hoagie, revealing his true self, leaving Cree to be extremely grossed out she kissed “that fat slob Hoagie Gilligan.”
Later on, two Moonbase operatives show up to detain Cree and take her to Moonbase prison via Prison Transport Delta. As the ship leaves, Numbuh 2 sheds a single tear. The episode ends with Cree in the back of the ship phoning Father to tell her she’s on her way to Moonbase, which Father celebrates as their mission going “according to plan.”

- "Teenzilla" is a combination of "teen" and "Godzilla".
- Joaquin reads a comic book about a hamster superhero with the initials, "WH". The comic appears to be a parody of both Superman and Wonder Woman.
- From behind, Cree's hair is reminiscent of the old Nickelodeon logo.
Errors/Goofs[]
- When we first see Numbuh 2 from behind at the start of the episode, his chili hotdog is not placed above his blueprints like it is in a later shot.
- After Numbuh 2/Hank hits the ground the shot zooms in on him, the buttons on his shirt is missing.
- In order for Cree to run into Numbuh 2 lying outside of the treehouse, she would have to ride her bike through Numbuh 1's yard.
- After Cree and Hank stop at the Romantic Burger and Hank hops off her bike, she's still sitting on the seat. But when the shot changes to being a little closer, she is now off the bike and standing next to it.
- Both shots of Sector V sitting in front of their TV are the same, with the only difference being what happens in the doorway.
- As Numbuh 2 is first regressing back into a kid, his voice sounds like Numbuh 1's voice.
- When Numbuh 4 says, "we're getting toasted", he is clearly up against a wall. Yet, in the next shot, he is backing away with no wall behind him.
- Numbuh 5's B.O.T.T.L.E.C.A.P. disappears after she shoots Cree's staff out of her hands.
- Hank's Y.O.-Y.O.P.E.R. also disappears when he turns back into Numbuh 2.
- Numbuh 2's hangar is empty when Numbuh 92 and 93 pick up Cree, which is the first and only time in the show that the hangar is not filled with vehicles and parts.
- Numbuh 92 is oddly credited as "KND Guard".
- Joaquin suddenly appears on Numbuh 2's shoulder when the prisoner ship leaves, even though he was not there in any previous shots.
