Summary[]

At the Delightful Children From Down the Lane’s Mansion, the other kids were sadly singing Happy Birthday to the Delightful Children. As with every year, the Delightful Children refuse to share their birthday cake with the kids around the world and made them partake by watching the Delightful Children would eat their cake. And, as with every year, the KND would show up to take it. The Kids Next Door showed up in their S.T.A.N.K. Numbuh 1 gave them a speech about the cake being shared with everyone accept for the Delightful Children and Numbuh 3 interrupted and asked if the cake was also was going to be shared with everyone and even Mushi and Lizzie as well and Numbuh 1 agreed but was embarrassed about “Lizzie”. Numbuh 1 was losing his patience. Before Numbuh 2 could use a blender weapon, Numbuh 5 stopped him because they were holograms. Usually every year, the cake is always taken by Sector V, but this time, the cake and children turn out to be holograms, thus tricking the KND. The Delightful Children took off with the cake. So the KND flew after them but left the other kids tied up. Numbuh 4 attempted to blast the DCFDTL but was stopped because the cake would be gone. Numbuh 1 made Numbuh 5 in command and left to catch up to the Delightful Children. Numbuh 1 snuck onto the ship and lasered a hole but the piece broke off and nearly hit Numbuh 2. Numbuh 1 quietly hid behind crates and saw the cake and the Delightful Children. He reeled in the cake with gum and a rope very quietly and the Delightfuls nearly saw him but hid. Numbuh 1 reeled in the cake but he saw it was fake and it was made of metal and the writing said, “Bye Bye,” and the front of the ship split. The back part of the ship was headed for Sector V and Nigel took evasive action of the crates and barrels and went up top and flew on the front part. Numbuh 2 tried to stop but the brake was jammed and the ship crashed through them and they crashed too. Numbuh 1 was flown around and around but crashed through the window but to Nigel’s surprise, it wasn’t the Delightfuls. They manage to trick the KND even further with fake DCFDTL and a fake cake to throw them off track in a rocket gazebo. The fake Constance turned out to be none other than Lizzie, Nigie's girlfriend, much to the shock of Nigel. The gazebo went out of control and thus, crashed onto the ground. The Delightful Children had hired Lizzie and a few others to play the Delightful Children and double-cross them by tricking Sector V into chasing them. Lizzie tried to apologize to Nigel for double-crossing him, but Nigel said it was too late for an apology. Two of the other fake Delightful Children say to cut Lizzie some slack, they had to do this or else they would have be tied up at the stadium like all the other kids. Numbuh 1 was puzzled about the “stadium”. Numbuh 2, 3, 4, and 5 arrived and saw the double-crossers and Lizzie. Sector V angrily left leaving poor Lizzie saddened. At the stadium, the DCFDTL are finally found at the stadium where they saw the other kids suffering from “mouth-watering jealousy”. Just then Sector V arrived and the kids cheered. Numbuh 1 got mad at the Delightfuls for sending them on a chase and once again Nigel said that everyone was going to get the cake. The Delightful Children had a dirty trick up their sleeves and decided to make the cake say something about it. The cake is much more than an ordinary cake, much to the KND's surprise. The cake was none other than a cake designed like a monstrous scorpion called a Pound Cake. Before Numbuh 2, 3, 4, and 5 could fire with their 2x4 technology, the Pound Cake frosted them away and knocked them away into a football stand. Suddenly, just before the Pound Cake could put an end to Numbuh 1, right out of the sky, a gazebo with a distraught Lizzie aboard came rushing down onto the Pound Cake. Numbuh 1 told the Delightfuls about Lizzie, which made them puzzled. Lizzie crashed onto the Pound Cake, which exploded and gave everybody a bit of it and even Sector V and Lizzie, which caused the DCFDTL to sob. Nigel, finding Lizzie unhurt in the gazebo, remembered her trying to apologize to him for double-crossing him and he gladly accepted her apology. Numbuh 1 sarcastically thanked the Delightful Children for the cake and would see them next year and have enough cake for everyone as the Delightful Children continued to cry and weep about the Pound Cake explosion. Sector V and Lizzie walked happily out of the stadium as the episode ended with the Jumbotron Sign saying, “Go KND”.

Quotes[]

Numbuh 3: Mmm! Yummy Birthday cake! (everybody cheers)

DCFDTL: No! No! NO!!! (bawling)

Trivia[]

  • When Numbuh 3 asks who is going to be invited to get the cake, she mentions "her sister", and then Mushi Sanban is introduced in the very next episode.
  • This is the closest that the show ever got to revealing what the B.A.T.T.E.R.B.E.A.T.E.R. does, but it's still never revealed.
  • The cake monster is shaped like a scorpion.
  • This is one of several episodes where the Delightful Children tried to kill Sector V.
  • It is unknown what happened to the tied up kids, because Sector V left before untying them.

Series Continuity[]

  • This is the second C.A.K.E.D. episode.
  • The kids tied up at the start of the episode are the same kids tied up for the DCFDTL's last birthday, in Operation: C.A.K.E.D..
  • Numbuh 1 and Lizzie are still together.
  • Numbuh 3's younger sister, Mushi, is mentioned for the first time.

Pop Culture References[]

  • The DCFDTL give a thumb-down signal to the Pound Cake in similar style to how Roman emperors are shown to do the same in gladiator stadiums in films like Gladiator.

Errors/Goofs[]

  • The DCFDTL says that the other kids are to take part in the annual ritual of watching the DCFDTL eat their cake without sharing. But the DCFDTL has five birthdays in a year, so it would then not be an annual thing.
  • Numbuh 1 is shown still wearing his backpack even after it flung off of him while he is climbing the rope towards the Gazebo ship.
  • In the first shot of the interior of the stadium, the DCDFTL are standing in the middle of the field. And then they're standing with cake at one of the end zones in the next shot.
  • The goal post shrink significantly between the establishing shot of the stadium, and the more up close shot of the DCFDTL.
  • Some of the kids appear multiple times in the crowd at the stadium.
    • The kids previously left at the DCFDTL's mansion also appear in the crowd.
  • The DCFDTL are not visible on top of the pillar in the background in the shot after the Cake monster removed all of Sector V's weapons.
  • When the shot pans over to the DCFDTL as they start talking, the brown-haired girl is a lot shorter than she's shown in the next close-up shot.
  • Also, the DCFDTL on the jumbo screen are not shown moving when they're talking in this shot.
  • When the DCFDTL give them thumbs-down signal, the brown-haired girl's hand is hidden behind the blond boy.
  • The DCFDTL's pillar is not visible in the overhead shot of the stadium with Lizzie's shit plummeting towards the Pound Cake.
  • After the DCFDTL's starts crying, the next shot of the crater shows them standing up-right and competely still, even though we can still hear them cry.
