Information[]
Summary[]
The frustrated Delightful Children from Down the Lane turn to their Father for help destroying Sector V. Their leader is turned into an adult, the treehouse is destroyed, and their faith is shattered; Sector V is forced into a showdown with their most dangerous foe yet.
Plot[]
The episode starts with Numbuhs 2, 3, 4, and 5 coming back from the candy store, wondering when Numbuh 1 will be back. Suddenly they are attacked by the notorious Delightful Children From Down the Lane. Sector V fights back but are outmatched until Numbuh 1 shows up. Using their traditional teamwork, they defeat the Delightful Children. Numbuh 1 adds insult to their defeat by telling them "if you ever want your butts kicked, you know where to find the Kids Next Door." A rainstorm hits, and Sector V runs off. Humiliated, the Delightful Children claim that Father is most unsatisfied and walk back to their mansion. They arrive at their home, approaching Father - appearing for the first time - who is indeed most unsatisfied. Father reveals that he considered the Kids Next Door a minor nuisance and sent the Delightful Children to deal with them. However, he has grown enraged by their failures with the KND's constant interference with his plans to have adults rule the world. In fury, Father demands the Delightful Children to destroy the Kids Next Door or face punishment. Although trembling from the rage of Father's voice, the DCFDTL ask permission borrow the "Really Really Incredibly Destructive Machine." Father answers their request and hands them the keys, granting his children not only the means of destroying Sector V, but also taking their revenge.
At the treehouse, Sector V dries off, and Numbuh 1 explains that he was needed by Moonbase to search out a number of operatives who had now turned 13 and had to be decommissioned. The team agrees this is very sad, but they ultimately accept that nobody could stay a kid forever and once you're no longer a kid, you can't be a member of the KND, but Numbuh 1 brightens the moment up by stating that they won't be growing up for a long time yet. Not long after, the Delightful Children smash into the treehouse with the RRIDM, ready to finish things between them and the KND. A long and destructive battle follows with Sector V throwing everything they have at the Delightful Children, but are easily outmatched. The battle comes to an end when Numbuh 1 is captured. The Delightful Children decide that merely beating Numbuh 1 and his friends isn't enough, and that he has to lose everything. They bring out the age changing device from Operation: C.A.B.L.E.-T.V. and blast Numbuh 1 with it before throwing him aside. Reveling in their victory, the Delightful Children destroy Sector V's treehouse, leaving them broken and defeated.
TRANSMISSION INTERRUPTED
The next morning, the rest of Sector V search for their leader. Numbuh 3 finds him, and the team is shocked to discover that Numbuh 1 has been transformed into an adult. His friends try to lift his spirits up by vowing to get revenge on the Delightful Children for doing this to him, but he snaps at them. Now, he has no choice but to leave the KND because he is too old to be in it, and leaves knowing he has to find a job, much to his team's heartache.
Two weeks later, the treehouse is still in ruins, because without Numbuh 1, Sector V has had no motivation to rebuild it or undertake any missions, including getting revenge on the Delightfuls, while in the meantime they had been using a cardboard box as a temporary base. Finally, after realizing they need to make a start (or "restart" in this case) somewhere, Numbuh 4 convinces the others to go get ice cream, where they found Nigel but Numbuh 1 (now calling himself Mr. Uno), the ice cream truck driver, refuses to give any of the kids ice cream, telling them it is against the rules of his duties, much to their disappointment. Numbuh 5 tells Numbuh 1 that he used to put the team before everything, but now he's become a selfish old crank. Before driving away, Numbuh 1 angrily tells her, "When you're an adult, you'll learn it's every man for himself! And you'll learn the hard way." He drives off and Numbuh 5 is disheartened by his attitude.
The team goes to visit the Delightfuls, and manage to steal the device - but the Delightfuls refuse to give it up, and they struggle over the ray, turning into teens, babies, and even seniors. The battle ends with Numbuh 1 crashing his ice-cream truck into their mansion, coming in and simply asking for the Age Cigar. The Delightfuls are incredulous until he points out that since he is now an adult, therefore, goody two shoes like them must obey him.
The Delightfuls reluctantly hand over the remote just as Father comes in, congratulating Nigel on "tricking a bunch of kids." Father than unleashes his demonic fire powers on Nigel. Numbuh 1 and the Sector V agents fight back and finally successfully overcome him with a barrage of Nigel's ice cream. While Nigel has the chance to use the age cigar on the Delightful Children for turning him into an adult, he chooses to transform his age back to normal and destroy the cigar. Father lies defeated and the Delightfuls tremble with fear over what they had just witnessed. Sector V then leave the mansion together, fully reunited as a team once again and satisfied that they had taught their foes a lesson. Although everything else was now tied up, the team still need to rebuild their treehouse, but Numbuh 1 is not worried, as he states, reminding Numbuh 2 what he had said at the beginning, "It's going to be a long time before [they] grow up."
The end credits show their Treehouse being rebuilt, concluding by showing its completion.

Quotes[]
Father: We won't be needing toys now, will we Mr. Uno? Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah! So shall we proceed?
Numbuh 1: Bring it on!
Father: With pleasure. I should have destroyed you and your friends a long time ago. I was thinking my children could take care of such a minor annoyance, but they are a disappointment.
Numbuh 1: That must run in the family.
Trivia[]
- This is the first 2-part episode.
- Numbuh 1 was not decommissioned when he became an adult. This is probably because no one in Sector V was shown to give a report about Numbuh 1's accidental aging to Moonbase.
- Numbuh 1's secret mission was to help the Decommissioning Squad capture and decommission kids. This later gave rise to the belief among some fans that he was a part of the Decommissioning Squad.
- This is the only episode to ever show Father’s mouth, not counting Operation: P.O.O.L. because Father’s counterpart, Daddy, wasn’t evil like Father.
- This episode aired as part of Spacetoon's "Friday Memories" day in which classic shows that used to air on the channel every March.
Series Continuity[]
- This is the first time Decommissioning is mentioned in the show.
- This episode was Father's first appearance on the show, though he was also mentioned in Operation: Z.O.O..
- This is one of the few times the Sector V treehouse is destroyed through the series.
- This episode contains a lot of references and callbacks to earlier episodes:
- The Age Cigar from Operation: C.A.B.L.E.-T.V. returns as the main villainous weapon.
- Like in Operation: T.E.E.T.H., Sector V are attacked after just having bought candy.
- Father was first mentioned by the Delightful Children in Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N..
- Numbuh 5 activates the Super D.E.F.E.N.S.E.-G.R.I.D. that Numbuh 1 worked on in Operation: Q.U.I.E.T..
- H.I.P.P.I.E.-H.O.P. gets destroyed, like in Operation: T.U.R.N.I.P.. This continues as a running theme through the series.
- Numbuh 2 brings out the F.L.A.P.P.U.H. he built in Operation: T.H.E.-F.L.Y..
- Adult Numbuh 1 starts working for the Ice Cream Men from Operation: I.-S.C.R.E.A.M..
- In Numbuh 1's absence, Numbuh 4 temporarily takes on a leader-like role, similar to how he did in Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N..
- The team is stranded without any 2x4 Technology, like they were in Operation: N.O.-P.O.W.U.H..
- The team gets saved by an adult (adult Numbuh 1), which also happened in Operation: C.O.W.G.I.R.L. (Lasso Lass).
- Numbuh 4 mentions his hatred for pianos from Operation: P.I.A.N.O..
- This is the first episode we see Numbuh 4 as an old man. The next time is in Operation: F.U.T.U.R.E..
- This is also the first episode we see Numbuh 2 as a teen, though he does not look like he later does in Operation: K.I.S.S..
- Teen Numbuh 5 has very large front teeth, similar to Negative Numbuh 5 in Operation: P.O.O.L. and dorkified Numbuh 5 in Operation: C.A.R.A.M.E.L..
- Both the DCFDTL and Sector V turn into babies again later in Operation: F.O.U.N.T.A.I.N..
- Father's weakness to ice cream and water is later seen again in Operation: T.R.A.I.N.I.N.G. and Operation: C.A.K.E.D. F.I.V.E..
- This is the first episode where the Delightful Children show fear towards KND, most likely because they witnessed their Father being defeated by them.
- This may also be the only time when the DCFDTL are standing in the opposite formation, with David and Lenny in the front.
- This is one of the few times when the DCFDTL do not speak in complete monotone. This happens when they say 'Yes, Sir' to father.
Pop Culture References[]
- The tentacles of the Really Really Incredibly Destructive Machine possess similar powers to the Hydra from Greek mythology; when cut off, it grows several more tentacles in its place.
Errors/Goofs[]
- The triangle-part of Numbuh 4's hoodie is sometimes colored like his skin, instead of like his sweater.
- While The Delightful Children were playing with the Age Cigar on Jenkins, their eyes temporarily were black instead of blue.
- The Age Cigar doesn't change Numbuh 1's clothes, but when everyone else is changed by the Age Cigar, their clothes change.
- When Father appears after the DCFDTL give the ray to adult Numbuh 1, he is at the the top of the stairs but in the scene when he is speaking he was at the bottom of the stairs.
- Even though the DCFDTL were just attacking the treehouse and standing half-way inside of Numbuh 5's room, they are outside when Numbuh 3 attacks them with H.I.P.P.I.E.-H.O.P..
- There's a lot more wreckage around the Uno House in the zoom-out shot at the end of the episode than previously shown in the episode.
- In the second shot of Father being hit by the ice creams, his head disappears for a split-second.
