Summary: A epidemic of conjunctivitis (pink-eye) has taken several victims. Numbuh 2 must investigate if the cases are coincidental or if a certain nurse is causing them.

Trivia

• This episode is an obvious parody of the 1973 film Soylent Green. Numbuh 2 is Detective Thorn, Balooka (or Numbuh 86) is Simonson, & Clairborne is Fielding.
• The episode has a darker tone, both literally and otherwise.
• The Nurse's secret ingredient to her Apple Crumbles is eye crusts. As hinted in the last scene of the episode, it seems the filling is mucus.
• Numbuh's 1, 3, 4 and 5 only have minor roles in this episode.
• Numbuh 2 states that a bakers dozen have been infected with pink eye, referring to the fact Nurse Clayborne's apple crumbles as baked goods.
