The S.P.L.A.N.K.E.R. is one of the KND's most commonly used weapons. It is a melee weapon. It first appeared in Operation: N.O.-P.O.W.U.H., where it had to be connected to an electrical outlet to function. In later episodes, it can be used without electricity. In Operation: V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E., Numbuh 4 uses it to defeat his comrades after they'd been turned into spankhappy vampires. In the 2x4 technology handbook, it's stated that the S.P.L.A.N.K.E.R. is from around Numbuh Zero's time. Not much is known about it's origin, but it's widely believed that it's from an event reffered to as the "Spankhappy Vampire Wars".

The S.P.L.A.N.K.E.R. consists of two planks of wood, connected at their ends by a hinge. Nailed into one of the boards are two nails, horizontally aligned and towards the side of the hinge. On the other side, there is a horseshoe-shaped electromagnet. A fine-tooth saw is bent over the hinge. When not in use, the magnet automatically attracts the nails, for the nails are made of magnetic iron.

To use the S.P.L.A.N.K.E.R., one reverses the electromagnet's polarity, thus moving one of the wood boards (the one not being held) forward at a high velocity. The saw's bendiness sets the plank back again, making it ready for future use. It barely resembles a crossbow
