"The sport is called MINIATURE GOLF!!"

– Rupert Puttkin

Rupert Puttkin, aka the Great Puttinski, is a world champion Miniature Golf player who takes the sport very seriously; insisting on it being called "miniature golf" rather than "mini golf" and taking offense to it being called "just a game". He is very nerdy, rude and obnoxious, and lives with his mother.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Rupert Puttkin grew up with his mother and became a world champion miniature golf player at some point before meeting the Kids Next Door. He continued to play at a local Minigolf course, but despite his success, he never moved out of his mother's house.

Becoming the Great Puttinski[]

Sector V came across Rupert at the local minigolf course and Numbuh 2 challenged him to a game of miniature golf after he made some rather rude comments to them. Despite never even having played the sport before in his life, Numbuh 2 beat Rupert in mini golf, mostly due to pure luck, stripping Rupert of his champion title and publicly humiliating him. To add salt to the wound, Rupert overheard Numbuh 2 telling a TV news crew that mini-golf is "kinda dumb". The loss of his title to someone who did not even like mini golf caused Rupert to go insane, donning a costume and dubbing himself "The Great Puttinski".

Puttinski

The Great Puttinski introducing himself to Numbuh 2

He used a miniaturization ray to shrink several famous monuments from around the world and used them to build a miniature golf course in his basement. The following night, The Great Puttinski went to the Sector V Treehouse, kidnapped Numbuh 2 and shrank him to the size of a golf ball, bringing him to his basement for a "rematch". The final hole of the course was the "Flaming Hole of Doom", which traveled into the center of the Earth. Should Rupert get a hole-in-one, the miniaturization ray would fire down the hole and shrink the entire world to the size of a golf-ball. Numbuh 2 was used as the "ball", and was shot into the windmill hole, beginning the shrinking process. However, as the windmill continued to spin, he was launched off of it and ricocheted off of a light-bulb onto a switch on the machine, changing its mode from "smallify" to "bigify". The ray hit Puttkin, causing him to grow into a giant and step on his golf course. Eventually, Numbuh 2, who was still flying around the room, flew into Rupert's face and knocked him out (Operation: M.I.N.I.G.O.L.F.).

Fighting the Kids Next Door[]

Numbuh 4 - Count Spankulot, The Great Puttinski

Rupert at the secret meeting

Rupert became involved in the KND's villains' community after his defeat at the hands of Numbuh 2. He got called in to Mr. Boss' secret villain meeting at the local movie theater, to which he went disguised in an large hooded sweatshirt, and sat between Chester and Count Spankulot. Rupert cheered enthusiastically when the meeting started and joined in on the evil laughter after the Toiletnator shared his idea for destroying the Kids Next Door. A disguised Numbuh 4 attempted to leave the meeting while the villains were laughing, but his costume unraveled as he passed by the evil adults. Rupert, Chester and a couple of Candy Pirates jumped on Numbuh 4, but he managed to escape and cover all the villains in ice cream in the process (Operation: M.O.V.I.E.).

Mr. Wink and Mr. Fibb invited Rupert to their annual "We Hate the Kids Next Door" barbecue in their backyard, where he was eating a hamburger next to Gramma Stuffum and a Cheese Ninja when Sector V decided to interrupt the party. The villains chased after the five kids out of the backyard and down the street, but lost them when they took off in their M.E.G.A.R.A.G.E. (Operation: A.F.L.O.A.T.). A fictional version of Rupert appeared in Chester's dream when he was put under the control of his own Happy Headband by Sector V (Operation: U.T.O.P.I.A.).

HES DRINKING WITH HIS NOSE

Rupert started to frequent the local Villain Cafe and socialize with his fellow villainous colleagues. On one of his visits he was sitting with Gramma Stuffum and Cuppa Joe when the Toiletnator came to pick up coffee for other villains (Operation: F.L.U.S.H.). He became one of Mr. Boss' somewhat more preferred villains at some point. He was invited to the big villain mac-n-cheese dinner hosted by Mr. Boss, which Numbuh 13 managed to ruin (Operation: M.A.C.A.R.R.O.N.I.). And he traveled in Mr. Boss' Submarine to the Grand Canyon (which was now filled with milk and cereal) along with several other villains to crash the annual Kids Next Door celebration. Before they could launch their surprise attack in the kids, however, the Toiletnator flushed the canyon clean and accidentally exposed his fellow villains (Operation: C.A.N.Y.O.N.).

After having fought the Kids Next Door for some time, Rupert attended the annual Villains' Choice Awards. He sat alone at his own table and ended the night covered in snot from the Common Cold's snot weaponry, activated by Sector V (Operation: A.W.A.R.D.S.).

Along with all the known villains of the Kids Next Door, Rupert witnessed the return of Grandfather at the Convention Center in Florida. And along with all his colleagues, he was turned into a Senior Citi-zombie to abide Grandfather's every command. The zombies went on to take down every Kids Next Door base on the planet and turning all humans into senior citi-zombies as well. Rupert returned back to normal after Grandfather's final defeat (Operation: Z.E.R.O.).

While Rupert did not participate in the great scavenger hunt set up by Numbuh 74.239, he was involuntarily involved when his golf club appeared on the list of items to hunt for. This golf club mysteriously disappeared out of his hands while he was playing mini golf in his basement (Operation: I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S.).

Personality[]

Rupert Puttkin was a very proud and rude man who did not hesitate insult anyone not familiar with mini golf. By the time he met the Kids Next Door, he had already allowed his success to get to his head, even having his own golf balls made with a picture of himself on them. He would have fits of rage whenever he lost a game and when he felt anyone tried to badmouth the sport of mini golf. Even though he was rude towards most people, he appeared to get along with other adults who shared his hatred for the Kids Next Door. He seemed to have a somewhat tense relationship with his mother, whom he was still living with.

Appearance[]

Before Rupert adopted the persona of the "Great Puttinski", he wore pink checkered golf pants and a matching golf cap, with a light blue shirt, white gloves and brown golf shoes whenever he played mini golf. He has light skin with a peach fuzz mustache and wore square glasses.

As the Great Puttinski, Rupert wore blue checkered golf pants, a matching eye mask and red sweater with a prominent blue "P" in the front. He switched out his brown golf shoes for black ones with red laces and blue soles. He started wearing one of his golf trophies as a hat and carried two golf clubs on his back.
